Farewell to Marnie - Our Spark of Social Connection
Today we’re celebrating – and sadly farewelling Marnie Brown – who finishes with us at the close of the Living Well series in Motueka today. It’s a fitting finale, as the course has been hugely successful and represents so much of what Marnie does best: bringing people together, creating confidence, and making learning feel joyful and social.
Marnie in the middle: connecting with our community in Motueka at today’s conclusion of our 6-week Living Well series.
Marnie is a true people person - the kind of person who sees potential friendships in a roomful of strangers and turns them into real connections. She has overseen our social connection activities and events and taken on an array of different projects over the last 5 years. Whether planning events, supporting volunteers, hosting Wellby Talking Cafés, implementing new IT tools or dreaming up new ways to bring people together, Marnie’s energy and imagination have made our community warmer and more connected.
We will miss Marnie’s unstoppable spirit, her laugh, and the way she makes connection feel effortless. We’re so proud of what she’s achieved and excited for the next chapter in her life. Thank you, Marnie for the friendships you’ve helped create and for making our community a brighter place. We’ll be cheering you on.
