Seeking Centenarians

Do you know someone who is 100 years or older?

As part of their 50th anniversary next year, our friends at Age Concern Wellington Region are creating a beautiful project called A Century of Stories. The team are gathering stories from Kiwis 100 years and older, with the vision to create a book and exhibition honouring the lives and voices of centenarians across the country. The project will capture portraits, written words, recorded voice and videos to celebrate a century of wisdom, resilience, and lived history while preserving these stories for future generations.

Here at Age Concern Nelson Tasman we’re also marking our own 50-year milestone next year, and while we’re still planning how we’ll honour it, we’re proud to support this special project and hope we can help find participants here in our local Nelson Tasman community.

  • Are you 100 years or older and would you like to be involved?

  • Do you know someone who is 100 years or older and might be interested in taking part?

  • Participants will be photographed and interviewed and become part of this special exhibition and book.

We’d love to hear from you

  • If you have any questions or would like to participate you can contact the team at Age Concern Wellington Region directly on 04 499 6646 or comms@acwellington.org.nz
