Caroline Budge stepping down as Manager
After seven years of dedicated leadership, our Manager Caroline Budge has announced that she will be stepping down from her role at the end of December 2025.
During her time at the helm, Caroline has led Age Concern Nelson Tasman through a period of growth and positive change. Under her leadership, the organisation has grown significantly, strengthened its services, expanded community connections, and made a real difference for older people across the region. Her vision, energy, and commitment have shaped a strong, values-driven organisation that is well placed for the future.
Reflecting on her decision, Caroline said, “This decision comes from a place of excitement about future opportunities ahead for our organisation. Age Concern Nelson Tasman is in very good shape, with an amazing team committed to our mahi, and a strong Board ensuring organisational stability and continued growth.”
Board Chair Lynley Lee acknowledged Caroline’s outstanding contribution, saying, “Caroline has been an exceptional leader who has steered Age Concern Nelson Tasman with passion, integrity, and care. Her ability to bring people together, strengthen partnerships, and advocate for older adults has had a lasting impact. We are deeply grateful for everything she has given to the organisation and wish her every success for the future.”
Caroline leaves the organisation in excellent health, and we thank her wholeheartedly for her dedication and service to our community.
