Donate to our Christmas Care Packages
It’s that time of year again – the season of giving and sharing. At Age Concern Nelson Tasman we’re now planning for our annual Christmas Care Package campaign, and we need your help to spread some joy and support to older members of our community this holiday season.
Every year, we gather together non-perishable foods, toiletries, little treats and more, wrap them up with care, and hand-deliver around 60 special packages to vulnerable older adults who may otherwise feel isolated or overlooked. Your donation makes a real difference.
Where and when to drop off
Please deliver goods by Wednesday 3 December
62 Oxford St, Richmond
18 Bridge St, Nelson
20 Wallace St, Motueka
What to donate
Non-perishable foods (e.g. single-serve ready meals, crackers, jam, chutney, cans of fruit, tea & coffee)
Toiletries (e.g. soaps, hand cream, body wash)
Small festive treats (e.g. chocolate, muesli bars, biscuits, xmas mince pies)
Why your help matters
The care packages we assemble are more than just boxes of goods they offer the gift of connection and community. For someone living alone or on a limited income, a small gesture can make their Christmas truly brighter.
Other ways you can help
If you’re not able to donate goods, you could also help by:
